Housing Navigator
Isaiah House is seeking a Housing Navigator to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability. This role works directly with clients to help them secure safe, permanent housing while navigating coordinated entry, housing applications, and landlord relationships throughout Essex County.

What You’ll Do
- Work one-on-one with Isaiah House clients to identify and secure housing options
- Conduct housing assessments and develop individualized housing plans
- Assist clients with housing applications, documentation, and lease-up processes
- Coordinate housing placements through the Essex County Coordinated Entry (CEAS) system
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords, property managers, and housing providers
- Support clients with move-ins and provide short-term follow-up to promote housing stability
- Collaborate with case managers, re-entry staff, and program leadership
- Maintain accurate client records and enter required data into HMIS as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 1–2 years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or re-entry
- Knowledge of Housing First and Coordinated Entry principles preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and work independently in the community
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience working with formerly incarcerated individuals
- Familiarity with Essex County housing resources and rental assistance programs
- Experience using HMIS or similar data systems
- Bilingual abilities (a plus, not required)
Work Environment
- Community-based role with frequent travel throughout Essex County
- Occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Field work, housing appointments, and landlord meetings required

Salary Range: $43,000-$46,000
