Job Title: Director of HIV/HUD Shelter Services

Location: East Orange, NJ
The Director of HIV/HUD Shelter Services shall provide comprehensive oversight of all shelter HIV/HUD programs. This Director reports directly to the Executive Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of a minimum of ten employees
- Conduct staff meetings.
- Medication Monitoring and adherence
- Monthly Reporting
- Record and document all interaction with clients in the Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) and Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Management Program (CHAMP).
- Build relationships with community partners
- Create schedules and review employee timecards
- Screen prospective residents and oversee the intake process
- Develop, arrange and coordinate individual case plans/maintaining case files
- Attend bi-monthly management meetings
- Provide linkages and referrals to other community resources
- Secure and/or conduct client workshops
- Attend EIRC and roundtable meetings
- Assess the bio/social/pyscho-social needs of clients and refer as needed
- Problem solves in a proactive, creative manner
- Must be flexible for the routine and predictable as well as the unique and unexpected
- Demonstrate sensitivity to the issues and concerns of the populations served by the agency
THESE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE AND NECESSARY BY PROGRAM COORDINATOR AND SENIOR STAFF MEMBERS
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Basic knowledge of federally funded Ryan White and State funded DOH & DCP&P Programs
2. Associate degree or higher (Bachelor’s preferred)
3. Able to use Microsoft Office Suite Proficiently
4. Ability to establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the general public
5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
6. Familiarity of HIPPA Laws
7. At least 2 years managerial experience

- Salary: $57,000.00-$60,000.00
