Isaiah House Celebrates Reopening of Original 14th Street Building with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Isaiah House Celebrates Reopening of Original 14th Street Building with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Organization will introduce HEAL Program to Provide Vital Support to the East Orange Community.

East Orange, NJ (October 30, 2024)—After several years of dedicated effort and community support, Isaiah House is excited to announce the reopening of its original building on 14th Street in East Orange, New Jersey. To commemorate this milestone, Isaiah House will host a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on November 14th, 2024, at 10 AM.

Completing the 14th Street building renovation has been a true labor of love, spanning several years, and brought to life by the hard work and dedication of local leaders, volunteers, and supporters. We are deeply thankful for the partnerships essential to realizing this. Heartfelt thanks to Isaiah House’s own Ms. Lee, Alexa Ralff of AHR Designs, Jane Kampner, Alexis Varbero of Schwartz Design Center, a dozen incredible local designers from New Jersey, photographers Aimee Ryan, and Lisa Rayman Goldfarb and the brothers of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Their unwavering support and commitment to Isaiah House’s mission and dedication to improving the lives of families and individuals in need have been pivotal in bringing us to this point.

“This building has always been the heart of Isaiah House, and its reopening marks a new chapter in our ongoing commitment to supporting our community,” said Zammeah Bivins-Gibson, Executive Director of Isaiah House. “Introducing the HEAL program will allow us to address the growing need for addiction recovery services and provide a safe space where individuals can access life-changing support.”

This event celebrates the reopening of this historic building and the introduction of our new HEAL (Healthcare Equity to Advance Life) Program, designed to provide critical support to our community’s substance use disorder sufferers and provide stable housing for those who need it most.

The HEAL Program will offer comprehensive, evidence-based treatment to help individuals recover from opioid addiction through a combination of medication, counseling, and housing services. Isaiah House’s team of professionals will work closely with clients, offering personalized treatment plans and ongoing support to help them achieve long-term recovery. The program is vital to Isaiah House’s many services, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, food assistance, and family support services.

Isaiah House has been a cornerstone of the East Orange community for over 35 years, providing shelter, social services, and resources to needy families. Reopening our 14th Street building enhances our capacity to serve and is a testament to the power of community collaboration. We invite the public to join us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony as we celebrate this achievement and look toward a brighter future for those we serve.
